Buddhism Course

I.   Some advantages of taking precepts include practicing and reinforcing the principles of the Eightfold Path; providing focus and directions fr all who wish to follow the Buddhist path, and to provide a moral code and discipline for trainees.
II.  Under no circumstances should any of the precepts be taken lightly.  If there is doubt that any of the precepts cannot be kept, vows to keep the precepts should not be taken.  It is a form of self betrayal to vow to keep the precepts, knowing they will not be kept.  Expulsion from the sangha is possible for the four grave offences:  sexual intercourse, stealing, killing another human being, and claiming attainment the trainee does not really posses.  Breaking other rules can be atoned for.
III.  The meaning of homeless brothers preaching to everyone and to wake up sleeping people is the mission and purpose of the homeless brother practice.  The ultimate goal is to awaken interest in enlightenment.

The  ULC, run by Rev. Long, has created a chaplaincy program to help train our ministers. We also have a huge catalog of Universal Life Church materials.  I've been ordained with Seminary since the beginning and have loved watching the continual growth of the seminary.
